In April this year, NVIDIA released its last GTX collection of graphics cards before switching to an RTX label. The model was called”the GeForce GTX 16 and is the precursor to GeForce RTX 20.

GeForce RTX 20 series. In this series, this model NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 shines due to the low TDP of only 75 W. It can play most AAA games at 60 FPS with 1080p resolution.

In terms of its latest generation and performance, this NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 based on Turing architecture uses its 12nm process. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 is equipped with 4GB GDDR5 memory, with an interface for memory that is standard 128 bits.

It also has an initial GPU primary clock that is 1485 MHz, which increases to 1665 MHz when it is boosted. With a diameter of 200mm2 and a process of 12nm, The chip can also support more than 4700 million transistors.

It is compatible with the DirectX 12 (12_1) version, so it can play any modern game and offer support for upcoming versions. Other graphic features comprise OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan 1.3, and CUDA 7.5.

In discussing how to render capabilities on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, we can observe that it comes with 896 shading units and 56 units of texture mapping and 32 output units for rendering. Additionally, it comes with an L1 cache of 64KB and 1MB of L2 Cache.

Additionally, there is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 has a dual-slot graphics card. It does not require additional power and draws every watt of power that it requires via the PCIe slot of the motherboard. There is also an option with a lower profile that was made available by NVIDIA to fit into smaller gaming rigs.

For the final part of the day, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 was released at $149 and is being produced and sold on the market. Even though NVIDIA has ceased production of the GTX line of GPUs, The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 still has awe-inspiring performance in the latest games and will continue to be in that state for the next few years.

We’ll start with the release date to provide a brief review of this NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and its specifications. The NVIDIA GeForce 3050 was announced earlier in the year, in January 2022.

This makes one of the newest graphics cards out of NVIDIA in the last few years of memory. While it’s not the strongest in the line-up of the RTX 3000 series, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 provides a hefty performance in gaming.

The NVIDIA GeForce 3050 RTX model is based on the latest Ampere architecture and comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and a 128-bit memory bus.

It can accommodate 12,000 million transistors on its 276 mm2 and has an 8nm. The GPU features a core clock rate of 1552 MHz in the stock model and 1777 MHz when increased.

In terms of graphics support, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 has the ability to play DirectX 12 (12_2) version that allows it to play all the latest and forthcoming games. In addition, it has support for OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan 1.3, and CUDA 8.6.

Moving to the rendering configuration For rendering configuration, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 comes with 2560 shading units and 80 units of texture mapping and 32 output units for rendering. It also has 128KB of L1 Cache and an L2 2MB Cache.

Since it’s a dual-slot card model with two slots, the NVIDIA GeForce 3050 requires a solid PSU to support its 130 W TDP. It draws energy from an 8-pin power connector connected to the PCIe x16 slot.

It is an upgrade to RTX 20 series. The RTX 30 is the latest generation of GPUs that NVIDIA can offer. The NVIDIA GeForce 3050 RTX is a tremendously affordable graphics card with less power than the other GeForce 30 series graphics cards.

This makes it the ideal card to purchase to run games without lag, thanks to raytracing and DLSS.

1. Specifications

Compared to the 1650’s initial launch in 2019, the 3050 features twice the number of CUDA cores. However, with fewer CUDA cores, Nvidia slowly changed the 1650’s specs in 2020.

Both GPUs come with the same 4GB GDDR6 memory and share a parallel memory bus, but the memory of the 3050 is quicker due to its higher bandwidth. The power limit determines the speed of the clock.

2. Laptops Tested

I’ve bought MSI the GF63 asunder Nitro 5 Gaming laptops equipped with the Intel Core i5-11400H CPU into this test in the fairest way possible. This GPU is the sole real difference between these laptops.

3. Performance

Let’s get to benchmarks for games. We evaluated eight games and utilized DLSS or FSR as long as they were enabled. This is because these features are by nature great and give a good FPS increase, which will be appreciated even on lower-powered GPUs.

Apex Legends

Let’s begin the journey with Apex Legends. It was found that the RTX 3050 was achieving a 37% more FPS average in the game. 1650 achieved around 60 FPS at medium settings, even though this was the game with the most significant differences of the eight evaluated.

Assassins Creed Valhalla

I’m in the middle of my third game on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and although it doesn’t require an extremely high frame rate to play it, the 3050 was capable of delivering an increase of 36% in average frame rate, which is an impressive difference.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Of all the games that were tested, Microsoft Flight Simulator had the second-highest win with an RTX3050. In this case, the 3050 had an average frame rate of 37% more.

Fortnite

While Fortnite includes DLSS, it wasn’t giving us the same boost as COD: Warzone. Of course, running the game with lower DLSS quality is possible if one wants to boost performance further.

In normal conditions, the 3050 averaged 26 percent greater frames/second than 1650. However, when DLSS is turned on, the 3050 can outperform its 1650 counterpart by 37 percent.

Call of Duty: Warzone

The RTX 3050 Call of Duty Warzone experienced an average frame rate rise of 26 percent. We tested the system with DLSS when it was in the quality setting. If DLSS is turned on, the 3050 can increase 61% in average FPS over 1650.

Dying light 2

The 3050 was ahead of 1650 by 44 percent at the time FSR could be enabled for both laptops. However, once DLSS could be enabled in 3050, the gap narrowed to 29 percent.

Cyberpunk 2077

The test was conducted with FSR enabled with just over 50 FPS at medium settings, and both the 1650 and the 3050 performed identically. The 3050, however, with DLSS activated, provided more of an advantage than the 1650 with FSR, which put it over 8% better than 1650 that had FSR switched on.

God of War

We tested AMD’s FSR and Nvidia’s DLSS since God of War supports both. The 3050 ran similarly when the option of DLSS or FSR was activated. However, it was 31% more efficient than 1650 when FSR was turned on for both.

4. Compatibility, dimensions and requirements

Information about GeForce GTX 1650 as well as GeForce RTX 3050 mobile compatibility to other components on computers. This is helpful when selecting a future system configuration or upgrading an old one.

Regarding desktop-based video cards, it’s the interface, bus (motherboard compatibility), and plugs for power (power supply compatible).

Regarding notebook-sized video cards, it’s notebook size with a connection slot and bus if the video card is put into a slot instead of being attached to the laptop motherboard.
