Elon Musk’s Boring Company is busy testing their solution to alleviate LA’s insane traffic problem. Believe it or not; underground tunnels could be the answer to dreaded big city commutes. More on that here.
The video below shows a Tesla Model 3 absolutely racing through a Boring Company test tunnel underneath LA, hitting an insane top speed of 127 mph (204 kph). The clip features a side-by-side comparison of another Tesla driving to the same destination on LA streets. Check out the difference and see which route is faster.
The passenger driving through the tunnel is lowered down using an elevator or “Loop Lift.” The Boring Company’s loop lift starts at SpaceX’s property (parking lot east of Crenshaw Boulevard and south of 120th Street), then it turns west under 120th Street, and finally ends 1.14 miles away, at the corner of Prairie Avenue and 120th Street.
